With our learners I always advocate the importance of entering competitions. Your skills improve as you prepare for them, it’s exciting, get’s you noticed and makes you stand out.

Here at LSE we are not content with just talking the talk, so on the 5th September 2022 myself and the whole team descended on Creative Head’s MOST WANTED awards ceremony. We had entered their brand new category which was ‘Education Experts’.

I think it’s important to mention that Creative Head’s ‘Most Wanted’ awards (in line with the British Hairdressing Awards) are the most credible awards in British Hairdressing and the hairdressing awards in Britain are the most credible in the world. The competition was fierce, we were up against some absolute giants of the industry, education royalty and we are honoured and proud to announce that… we won!

Our whole goal is to level the playing field between private and college education. By winning this award, it is recognition that we are on the way to achieving that. The industry have voted us the Education Experts of 2022/2023. It’s bringing awareness to our not for profit foundation and our college partners up and down the country, it’s giving us more credibility and awareness and hopefully we can help to impact more young people and show them what a fantastic career is available to them in hairdressing.

So get out there, give it your all, because worst case scenario, you will be better for the experience. Best case scenario? Hey… you never know… you might just win!
